The Culture LP is commemorating ten years of uplifting the global majority through the power of the arts. We are celebrating in partnership with the Brooklyn Museum on Juneteenth with an afternoon of activities celebrating self-expression, community and Black liberation.

KEMETIC BREATHWORK + MEDITATION FOR LIBERATION:
fRom 1pm - 2pm
Begin your afternoon with an opportunity to liberate your spirit and ease your mind. This session is led by local practitioners Steven Rousseau & Maya Eberhart, incorporating breathwork and meditation through the framework of Ancient Egyptian healing sciences. Starting at 1pm, guests are invited to join us on the balcony outside of the Egyptian Galleries, located 3rd floor of the museum.
POETRY READINGS + PERFORMANCES:
from 2pm - 3pm
Once the meditation and Q+A concludes, guests are invited to attend a soulful poetry reciting by Leeza Joneé, alongside musician Jovan Johnson, and contemporary dancer Catherine Kirk. The performance will feature sound, movement, and poetic reflections on self-love, romance, and family.
BROWN SUGAR BOUNCE:
fRom 3pm - 7pm
After the performances upstairs come bounce with us in the backyard as we sing and dance to our favorite songs, fellowship with our loved ones, and celebrate all in the name of Black liberation. Brown Sugar Bounce is a high vibrating Black Music experience designed to make you move and leave you feeling full!
